The magical world is filled to the brim with monstersand foes. The stunning spell 'Stupefy' will allow youto stun and damage opponents, so you can protectyourself from dark forces wherever you go.
Stupefy is the 11th quest in the main storyline and your second lesson at Hogwarts. Stupefy spell is your first offensive spell, which will come in handy as you will run into some enemies during this task.
This quest includes hidden mechanic - if you get stuck at the jumping section, after 7 minutes platforms no longer retract.

Professor Lupin:
The Stupefy spell is a combative spell that will allow you to damage and defend yourself against opponents.
The spell works well in combination with short range weapons, and when in a pinch there's nothing wrong with simply giving your foes a whack with your wand.
Using combative spells like Stupefy requires a lot of energy, and drains your magical stamina, or "Magicka".
Watch the blue bar that appears above your hotbar.
If you don't have enough Magicka, you won't be able to cast your spell.
Magicka generates slowly over time, but there are a number of ways to quickly restore your magical stamina.
When defeating an opponent it will quickly restore part of your Magicka.
You can also find Magicka Wells like the one next to me, and you can brew potions for restoring Magicka.
In order to use the spell, select it from your spell menu by pressing ², and cast it by double clicking RMB.
See if you can make it through the obstacle course.
Start by hitting all the targets in the next room.

Professor Lupin:
Excellent! 15 points to [Gryffindor/Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff/Slytherin].
The Stupefy charm is now unlocked, and can be used when you encounter enemies in the world.
Your next class is Potions with Professor Severus Snape.
You can head there right away, or choose to explore the school further first.
How to complete the quest[]
Select Stupefy (by pressing Q while the wand slot (1) is selected). There are four targets above statues on both sides of the room. Double click right mouse button and aim for the target. After hitting all four, stairs will drop down. Progress further and you will get to iron bars that will not let you any further until you hit four moving targets on the left. If you run out of Magicka, turn around and press F on a Magicka well to regain Magicka. After opening the gate step into another room. These four targets have to be hit in specific order as indicated on a chalkboard on the right. Hit those targets and a dropbridge will let further. Be careful, spikes are scattered around and will harm you when you step on them. Now comes the tricky bit. HINT: Press CTRL to sprint and jump further. Jump over to the first pillar, then hit closest target. Jump onto the platform that just appeared and quickly jump to another pillar. Now hit the next target, jump onto the moving platform, hit a target hidden by the cave's side, jump to another moving platform and quickly jump to the last pillar. Now jump one more time to the safety. (This quest includes hidden mechanic - if you get stuck at the jumping section, after 7 minutes platforms no longer retract.) Cutscene will play as you enter another room. Three waves of enemies await you there. Skeletons, spiders and a joint wave. You can hit small targets around the room to open holes in the floor. There is a Magicka fountain in the middle of the room. You can use hallways on both sides of the room to maneuver away from enemies. Use stupefy of your wand (or an equiped weapon if you found one already) to defeat your enemies. Beware of small spiders as they are venomous. After defeating 3rd wave go through door on the right side of the room and speak to professor Lupin to get back to classroom.
